It's finally here. A year in the making,
Libre Soy: Portraits of a New Guatemala is my first book and my proudest achievement. This collection profiles Guatemalans who are bringing reconciliation and transformation to their communities following Guatemala's 36-year civil war. Profiles include:
-A pastor elected mayor who led his remote mountain village in building its first road to the outside world
-An abuse survivor who pioneered her community's first support groups for battered women
-A secretary who adopted a city slum and became mother and teacher to thousands
